Responsibilities

Revolution is now hiring for a Product Development Engineer. This role can be based in either Mesquite, TX, or Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will be part of the corporate process improvement team to conduct various projects across multiple plants through state-of-the-art solutions and technologies to improve productivity and efficiency.   • Designs, develops, and evaluates new products and improves existing products through the use of engineering principles and technology.
  • Conducts and engages in innovation, new product development, product testing, and product/process improvement aligned with strategic product development goals.
  • Leads and/or participates in cross-functional teams for new product development initiatives.
  • Consults with project engineers and architects to develop project-specific products for unique applications worldwide.
  • Participates in industry trade organizations and engages with codes and testing agencies on behalf of the company.
  • Works with manufacturing personnel to develop efficient manufacturing operations for new products and improve those of existing products.
  • Reviews, creates, and modifies engineering specifications, calculations, drawings, bills of material, and other technical information.
  • Assist with quality audits of production-run products (analytical data, sensory evaluations) for any secondary supply approvals.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations and technical documentation to both internal and external clients.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar environment (including internship or co-op experience).
  • Must be able to apply broad marketing knowledge including branding, product life-cycle, competitive positioning, and communications.
  • Experience working with R&D, Purchasing, QA, Sales, and Production staff to meet project timelines.
  • Ability to solve complex problems under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience preparing and presenting project plans and progress reports for senior management.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
  • Some travel is required.
