Responsibilities

Revolution is now hiring for a multi-site Business Unit Controller. Locations for this business unit include Little Rock, Stuttgart, and Altheimer, AR; Mesquite, TX; Salinas, CA, and warehouses in Mississippi and Missouri. This role will be based at the company's Little Rock, AR location. This position is accountable for the business unit's financial accounting and reporting. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with excellent communication skills, high accuracy, and accountability. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this position will interact with multiple levels of leadership within the organization.

  • Plan and implement systems and processes to improve the growth of the business unit and company.
  • Establish working rapport with business partners across the company.
  • Determine profitable opportunities for the business unit and implement processes and systems to achieve higher profits.
  • Assist with preparing and forecasting the annual budget, capital expenditure, and operating costs, and present it to the senior management for approval.
  • Manage and implement processes to improve operations quality, manage cash flow, and generate timely financial reports.
  • Present financial performance results and policies to the unit's business leaders to make appropriate business decisions.
  • Supervise and guide team members, and train and motivate them to achieve project goals.
  • Implement changes and monitor unit operations to adhere to company policies and accounting principles.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to plan and execute an annual audit for business units.
  • Develop and document internal controls and maintain accounting systems.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Handle ad hoc projects and reporting to support the strategic product groups as necessary by management.
  • Work with plant operations to organize periodic and monthly inventory counts and investigate root causes of variances. Ensure proper inventory processes and controls are in place by developing or refining SOPs.
  • Review inventory items for proper Bill of Materials setup with the inventory ERP system.
  • Responsible for the cost accounting process and updating standard costs as needed.
  • Work closely with the plant manager to review operational and financial results and identify areas for improvement.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of the month-end close process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; CPA and MBA are preferred.
  • Minimum five years of demonstrated relevant experience is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel reporting (pivot tables and MACROs) and MRP / ERP experience (Infor Syteline). Prior experience with ERP system implementations and software packages such as Hyperion or Prophix is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, intellectual curiosity, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate with a high level of business acumen, influence with data, respond across complex discussions, and engage with all levels in a polished and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and forecasting.
  • Ability to perform detailed analysis to find management data points and trends.
  • Must be a proactive team player and work well with all departments to encourage information exchange.
  • Desire to drive change through process improvement and knowledge transfer.
  • Proven communication skills across all organization levels, including upper management.
  • Proficiency in all relevant software systems, including MS Office suite.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and process improvement experience such as Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and Kaizen events preferred.
  • Frequent travel between major operating locations (Little Rock, Stuttgart, and Mesquite) is required. Approximately 10-20%.
