Responsibilities

Revolution is now hiring for a Converting Utility Worker (Nights) position for Kilgore, TX. The successful candidate will be a motivated individual who has strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

  • Follow all Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Using the published schedule, this Utility person will ensure WIP is available at the appropriate machine. 
  • All scrap would be the responsibility of the Utility person not only to collect it and transfer it to the baling station, but also to sort the scrap according to the processes in place and bale the scrap and record the weight. Once baled, the Utility person would contact the Warehouse that it is ready to be picked up.
  • The dockets should be used to plan out what specific items should be available for the next job. This includes, but is not limited to boxes, offline punch press, and special blades. 
  • This person should periodically check and make sure that each station has box tape available both on the unwind area and packing area.
  • Must be able to work in a safe manner, keeping their safety and their fellow employee’s safety the #1 priority, and following all company work rules and safety requirements.
  • Empty office trashcans and the trashcans in the front and back. 
  • Pick up all empty pallets and maintain a clean floor.
  • All stub rolls cut down, loose cardboard stacked, and cores picked up and removed from the floor.
  • Back up rolls on the machines.
  • Monitor the dot box and pallets.
  • Operate small bailer.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor and Leads to support the shift by assisting with rework, restocking materials, and packing on machines as necessary.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Must be able to work the night shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday - Friday. 
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays. 
  • Ability to read and understand instructions in English.
  • Ability to perform work without supervision. 
  • Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
  • Essential reading and writing skills.
  • Minimum one year of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
  • Climbing stairs and working from secure platforms.
  • Must be able to follow safety procedures and precautions.
  • Requires occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
