Responsibilities

Revolution is looking for a motivated, experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Florence, AL. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and growing sales of consumables and equipment used for packaging cotton bales. We’re seeking someone who can work independently, collaborate with team members, and build trusted relationships by truly understanding and responding to customer needs.

 

The work environment is fast-paced, particularly during peak seasons, and flexibility is essential as hours may vary and could exceed standard work-week lengths during busy periods. Due to the seasonal nature of the cotton industry, workloads and scheduled hours will rise during peak seasons.

  • Communicate clearly, respectfully, and effectively with customers and their employees to maintain strong relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling potential customers to establish new accounts for wire and bale tie products.
  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts by obtaining orders, providing responsive support, and maintaining regular contact to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Prepare accurate customer orders, including pricing and quantities, utilizing pricing calculators and product literature to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Stay aware of market conditions by monitoring competitor activity, including pricing, product offerings, and delivery performance.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues by identifying root causes, developing effective solutions, and recommending improvements to management.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly territory analyses to track performance and progress.
  • Keep detailed, organized records of customer communications, sales activity, and inventory movements to support accuracy and transparency.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor developments, and emerging customer needs, sharing insights with the product development team to influence future packaging innovations.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • A college degree is preferred, and a background in agriculture is advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
